Conference attendees will receive orientation to the service learning experience and particularly the innovative use of technology by United Way and other community volunteer centers to connect service learners with the wide range and diversity of community needs. Conference attendees will be provided the opportunity to understand service learning by actually participating in a brief service learning project of their own selection. Projects are listed on the United Way website so conference participants will be able to select one that reflects their interests, time schedule and ability to travel short distances around the city of Seattle.
