Buckhorn
is based near Wenatchee, WA, and has been making music for the past
10 years. Coming from a country music background, Buckhorn plays
a mix of old and new country, old rock and really old rock.
The four band
members that make up Buckhorn now, have been playing together for
five years. They play regularly for various events, barn dances,
weddings, and at the "Eagles" Lodge in Wenatchee. On January
20, 2005, they had the honor of performing in Olympia for the inauguration
"Governors Ball."

Meet
the band!
Michelle Johnson - Singer and keyboards, "Schelli"
is a farmer's daughter and grand-daughter that grew up on an apple
and pear orchard. She majored in music and has sung professionally
her entire life, though this is her first band. Schelli gave up her
"girly-voice" singing after joining the group.
Jon Kutch - Singer and lead guitar, Jon is Field Advisor
for Blue Bird, a large tree fruit packing plant. One of the original
band members, he loves Elvis, (though not in THAT way). He is the
first to ever sing "Louie-Louie" in a way that you can understand
the words.
Justin Sachs - 21 year-old Justin has been drumming for the
group since he was 16. He's a true farm kid from a wheat and cattle
ranch in Douglas County. Sorry 4-H, but he was a FFA "Star Farmer,"
a distinction he truly earned. Justin would do well in a hay bale
stacking contest.
Tim Smith, WSU Extension, Tree Fruit Area Agent for the northern
half of Washington. Tim has played bass guitar since the age of 12,
the past 10 years in Buckhorn. He considers music a much better hobby
than shearing sheep. Drug of choice: ibuprofen. |
